FICLO has invited Chef Adérito de Almeida to create a menu, using regional ingredients and inspired by the festival’s opening film, The Gentle Indifference of the World, a film from Kazakhstan directed by Adilkhan Yerzhanov. There is a long tradition of uniting gastronomy and cinema. Instead of Marco Ferreri’s La Grande Bouffe, let us rather celebrate the banquet as in Gabriel Axel’s Babettes Feast, creating affective memories where sight meets taste. 


We will be able to count on a performed presentation of the Tasting Menu by Bruno Humberto. He studied and taught in the Master of Performance Making at Goldsmiths College in London. He was the author and director of The Camus Incident (site-specific performance runner-up of the Oxford Samuel Becket Theater Trust Award). And from this relationship with Albert Camus is born this invitation to the artist.
